This Privacy Policy describes how Cam Frederick ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the TouchLine app ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Information We Collect

TouchLine is designed to collect as little information as possible. We do not operate servers, create user accounts, or collect personal information directly.

Content you create. Plays, formations, team sheets, and player rosters are created and stored entirely on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it using the in-app sharing features described below.

Device storage. The App stores your preferences and settings locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to us.

2. Photos and Video Access

TouchLine may request access to your device's Photo Library for two purposes:

  • Import: If you choose to link a video clip to a play, the App accesses your Photo Library to let you select a video. The selected video is copied to the App's local storage for use within the App only.
  • Export: If you choose to save an exported image or video, the App requests permission to save that file to your Photo Library.

We do not upload, transmit, or share your photos or videos with any person or service. Access to your Photo Library is only used at the moment you initiate one of the above actions.

3. Local Network Access

TouchLine may request access to your local network to enable peer-to-peer sharing of plays and team sheets with nearby devices running TouchLine. This feature uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework and operates entirely on your local network — no data is routed through external servers. Local network access is only active when you initiate a sharing session.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

TouchLine offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions through the Apple App Store. All transactions are processed by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials. For information on how Apple handles payment data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Purchase receipts are validated on-device using Apple's StoreKit framework. No receipt data is transmitted to our servers.

5. Apple's Data Collection

Apple may independently collect certain information through the App Store and iOS platform, such as device identifiers, crash logs, and aggregated usage statistics, if you have opted in to share analytics with Apple or app developers. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is separate from any data practices described in this policy. We may receive anonymized, aggregated diagnostic information from Apple but cannot identify individual users from this data.

6. Analytics and Crash Reporting

TouchLine does not integrate any third-party analytics platforms, crash reporting services, or advertising SDKs. We do not track your behavior within the App, collect usage statistics, or share any data with third-party data brokers.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to any third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or legal process. Because we do not store personal data on our systems, there is generally nothing for us to disclose.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

All data created in TouchLine is stored locally on your device and is under your full control. You have two ways to delete your data:

  • Clear All Data: Within the App's Settings, you can delete all plays, formations, team sheets, and player data at any time using the "Clear All Data" option. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Uninstall: Uninstalling TouchLine removes all locally stored content from your device.

We retain no copies of your data and cannot recover it after deletion.

9. Security

Because TouchLine stores all data locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's security settings. We recommend using a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID to protect your device. Your device's local encryption (provided by Apple) protects your data at rest. In the unlikely event of a security incident that could affect your data, we will notify affected users through appropriate channels as required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

TouchLine is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Because TouchLine does not collect, sell, or share personal information with third parties, there is no personal data for us to provide, delete, or opt you out of selling. If you have questions about your California privacy rights, please contact us.

12. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent legislation, including the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. Because TouchLine stores all data locally on your device and we do not process personal data on our systems, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the App using the "Clear All Data" feature in Settings. For any other requests, please contact us at the address below.

13. International Users

TouchLine is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, please be aware that any information shared via local network features is transmitted peer-to-peer between devices and is not routed through our systems.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

15. Contact Us
